Alot of videobloggers seem to be
aiming for QuickTime files in the 20 - 30Kb/sec. range and have questions
about how to achieve this. I've found that if you download and intall
the 3ivx codec for QuickTime and follow these steps you can quickly
get pretty good results. I put together a QuickTime movie to demonstrate
the difference between codecs. At this small of a bit rate the differences
are subtle but especially noticable during transitions and quickly
moving video. The three examples in this movie are of almost identical
file size. Also, I've used the MPEG 4- Audio codec as it doesn't
create the "tin can" sound of QDesign Music 2 codec.
