I'm an artist looking to make immersive video art. I'm starting a new series of immersive videos where I'll be experimenting and figuring things out and then sharing what I've learned.

**This video is 180° and 3D.** If you have an Apple Vision Pro or Meta Quest headset, you'll get that experience. On everything else you'll get a 2D version that you'll be able to drag around to see outside the frame. This uses my [VR180 Web Player that you can get from GitHub.](https://github.com/Verdi/VR180-Web-Player?ref=michaelverdi.com)

Note: This is an 8K video file so you'll need a fast connection for it to work. Also, Firefox doesn't always seem to be able to play back HEVC encoded videos.

## Download or YouTube

- [Download this high quality version for Apple Vision Pro](https://exp.michaelverdi.com/3dv/3dv1-mvhevc.mov?ref=michaelverdi.com).
- [Download this side-by-side video for Meta Quest](https://exp.michaelverdi.com/3dv/3dv1-60mbps.mp4?ref=michaelverdi.com) and play it with an app like [Deo VR](https://www.meta.com/experiences/deovr-video-streaming/2382576078453818/?ref=michaelverdi.com) (choose SBS and LAT LONG for video settings).
- [It's also available on YouTube.](https://youtu.be/9tTIUCdc4os?ref=michaelverdi.com)

## How I Made This

Here's my camera setup (Canon R5C with the dual fisheye lens).

Here's how I added a spatial video shot on my iphone into this immersive video.

## More

In this video I showed a clip of [Blandscape](https://www.michaelverdi.com/blandscape/), a short immersive film I made earlier this year. I also wrote about making it and the web-based immersive video player in [Issue 5](https://www.michaelverdi.com/zine/issue5/) of my zine.
